Today, Waterwise announces 25 new water saving devices which have been awarded the prestigious Waterwise Marque. The new products bring the total number of Waterwise Marque products to 52 across a broad range of products for saving water indoors and outdoors. The Waterwise Marque helps buyers make more informed choices on which water using products to purchase.
"It is very exciting that the Waterwise Marque scheme now has over 50 products listed. This means that consumers now have a wide range to choose from when buying new products for the home or garden. Using these products can help us all reduce the water we waste by up to a third, saving money on water bills, energy bills and reducing the stress on our water supply." says Jacob Tompkins, Director of Waterwise.
The new range now includes water efficient showerheads, dishwashers, dual flush toilets, dual flush retrofit devices, water efficient taps, aerators and flow restrictors as well as more unusual Marque products such as a water efficient fire sprinkler system, a low volume bath and a device which recycles bath water on a quick turn of the bath plug. The Marque is awarded annually to products which reduce water wastage or raise the awareness of water efficiency. The Marque was judged by a skilled independent panel of judges, each an expert in separate criteria of entry. To be successful in achieving the Waterwise Marque a product must convince the judges that it is water efficient or promotes the awareness of water efficiency, sustainable in design, performs well and is widely available on the UK market.
The Waterwise Marque scheme operates alongside the Water Efficiency Label run by the Bathroom Manufacturer's Association. Manufacturers of existing Waterwise Marque products claim the Marque is a very useful endorsement for securing new project work and as a result have seen an increase in sales.
The Waterwise Marque can be found in stores on the product itself, product packaging, point-of-sale information, product catalogues, promotional literature and company websites.
